This fan design was created by Hatano Sogo Printing Co., Ltd. as one of the tools to introduce silver screen printing and offset printing technology at the “2018 Kyushu Printing Information Industry Exhibition”. In Japan, there is a saying, “moon and soft-shelled turtle.” (It seems to be similar at first glance, but in fact, it is completely different, and there is a big difference between the moon shining in the night sky and the soft-shelled turtle living in the mud.)
By mixing screen printing and offset printing, it is a work that challenges the expression of the difference between the design of the moon and the design of the soft-shelled turtle.
